Opening ceremony in Helsinki Ice Hall 25th of May, 7 pm ”The Spirit of Helsinki” is present in Helsinki Ice Hall at opening ceremony of WorldSkills 2005 Helsinki. Illustrated by music, movement, light, water, fire and change of four seasons the atmosphere expresses Finns' creative skills to solve problems with people from all over the globe. The spectacular event is initiated without spoken words and combines past with present times. It is staged by a symphony orchestra of 75 musicians, a big band and numerous dancers, vocalists and soloists. Modern stage technique supports this youthful and driving play.
