Skill explained

A beauty therapist is a specialist in skin and body care, massage and makeup. Beauty therapists are able to plan, apply and market face, body, feet and hand treatments and makeup. They can provide advice on how to use colours, find a personal style, look after your skin and body, and how to choose and use skincare products. They are employed in beauty salons, electrolysis studios, spa's and onboard therapist on cruise ships or long haul flights, scalp treatment and hair replacement clinics and other similar establishments and in cosmetic departments of retail establishments such as pharmacies and department stores, or they may be self-employed.
