Plasterers apply coatings of plaster, cement and synthetic materials to the inside and outsides of buildings. They maintain and restore plaster or similar materials on interior and exterior walls, ceilings and building partitions. They produce plain or decorative surfaces using plaster and cement coatings. Drywall installers and finishers fix and finish plasterboard sheets to various types of wall and ceiling systems. Plasterers may be employed by large companies or be specialised self-employed sub contractors.
