The emblem of 2001 Seoul 36th Skills Competition is extracted and shaped from Taeguk, a traditional Korean design widely used in Korean architectures and ornaments, and human hands reminding of the characters of skills and techniques. It is a dynamic, brush-touched expression of the basic units of taeguk, introduce the traditional Korean culture and Technical Korea all over the world through the Competition. The center of Taeguk expressing technicians' gathering to Korea is composed of 5 colors. Yellow stands for harmony, green for youthfulness, blue for advance, red for ambition, and orange for friendship.
