Welcome Festival at the Competitors' Village

The festival fosters international exchange for the Competitiors from all nationalities and languages.

“WorldSkills Welcome Festival in the Competitors’ Village” takes place at the Gotemba Competitors’ Village. There are four zones: Japanese Cultural Experience zone, Stage Event zone, Exchange Event zone and Tourism/Public Relations Zone. At each zone, there is an opportunity for you to enjoy a Japanese cultural experience such as wearing kimono,
performances and experiences of the Japanese Taiko Drumming as well as the Japanese harp, and making rice cakes. The features of Shizuoka Prefecture are introduced and music performance events take place too. Please refer to the program book which is available for Competitors and Team Leaders for more details. One School One County Support Friendship Program

Numazu City has organized the “One School One Country” Support Friendship Program. School students in Numazu City have researched the Competition in various ways to acquire an all encompassing outlook. All elementary schools and secondary schools in Numazu City participate in this program. Each school supports one country/region and students study the language, the culture, the history and the customs of the country/region to deepen their understanding. During the competitions, students will cheer for the Competitors.

Welcome Festival by Numazu City

It takes place during the Competition just adjacent to the Competition site. All visitors are welcome to attend.

School Festival in Numazu National College of Technology

Hall 17 is located in Numazu National College of Technology. During the days of Competition, you are welcome to visit the School Festival of Numazu National College of Technology. Exhibitions, flea markets, stage events and a big lottery will take place.
