AUSTRALIA - Rebecca Lord

G'day Everyone! My name's Rebecca Lord, I'm 21 years old and an Aussie! Most people call me Bec!

I'm currently studying Digital Media but I'm hoping to switch to Web Design. I'm looking forward to meeting you all at the WorldSkills Youth Forum in May. I'd love to hear from you so feel free to post me a comment.

Also if you have any questions about Australia, I'd be more than happy to answer them. Cheers Bec

G'day Bec,

What part of Australia are you from?
Are you studying at a private college, TAFE, university or none of those? Do you have any websites you have already published online that we can look at or are you just starting out? So many questions! :-)

Hi Nick.

I'm from the Newcastle/Hunter Valley area in NSW. I live about 20 minutes away from Newcastle itself :-)

I'm studying at Hornsby TAFE, which means a LOOOOOONG train ride every day but I love the course so it makes it worthwile.

I haven't started my Web Design course yet so no websites as yet. I'm doing Digital Media for 6 months then I start Certificate 4 Web Design in Semester 2 this year.

I'm really looking forward to the Youth Forum. Its really a fantastic opportunity to get together with other young people from around the world and discuss our experiences!

Cheers
Bec :-)

Great,
I love it up around there, there are some really beautiful places, (and some great surf!) very close to where you live.
That is a LOOOOOONG trip to TAFE everyday. You must be VEEEEEEEEEERRRY dedicated. Good on ya!

Hi Beck. We had to motorise a standard, push type wheel chair. It was to accomidate for disabled children around the world in poverty. It had to pass a number of specs and requirements and come in at a certain price. it was a great success.
