We had a webcam in the arena providing live action! We have recorded different segments of the competition and produced video (see below).

We also have the original photos available (see below).

A CD has been produced with the "Best of Seoul" - it features this complete website and all the videos and images introduced below. It is free and is available from your nearest Festo Didactic office or by emailing the webmaster.

Video - German National Mechatronic competition 2001 (.mpg file)

Short video of the German National Mechatronic competition held at the
Bildungsmesse (Education Fair) in Hanover in February 2001. 17 teams from
German companies took part. Parallel to the event was a Forum for experts
on the Mechatronics WorldSkills Competition aimed at passing on best
practices to new member countries.

What's a codec?

* A codec (short for compression - decompression) is the technology that is used to compress a digital video file and is therefore necessary to have installed to playback. Your PC will accumulate a variety of these depending on what product was used in the initial conversion (check out Control Panel > Multimedia > Devices > Video Compression Codecs) - DivX is just another one!
