Canadian National Competition 2004

Following the provincial and territorial competitions, the Canadian Skills Competition is held to determine the best in the country. Students compete at provincial events to win the right to represent their province at the Canadian Skills Competition.

This year the competition is held in Winnipeg , Manitoba , May 28 and 29.

In Canada , 10 provinces and 3 territories participate in the national competition.

In my trade, 3 provinces participate: Québec , Ontario and Alberta . This year Québec won.

We use Festo MPS station Distributing and Sorting as competition equipment with Allen-Bradley PLC (MicroLogix and SLC503) and RSLogix software. Everybody has the same.

The competition last two days and is divided in 3 tasks:

Day 1
1. Assembly, programming and start up of Sorting station

Day 2
2. Troubleshooting.
3. Assembly, programming and start up of Disbributing station
