We had 8 teams in the final competition. They were screened from the 13 teams participated in the qualifying round in March. The jury panel consists of 6 members from various industries and universities. We have selected and recommended the first 3 teams with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. All three teams were from Nanyang polytechnic. The Gold medallist will represent Singapore in the Word Skill Competition to be held in 2003. The following Modular Production System stations (all from Release C) were used for the competition: Distribution, Processing , Handling and Sorting. The competition projects were set in 5 modules as follows: Assembly and commissioning of Handling station Integration of Handling station with other stations Programming of all 4 stations (D, P, H & S) Reprogramming of all 4 stations (D, P, H & S) Troubleshooting of all 4 stations (D, P, H & S)
