Patrick Nolan is a child actor best known for his role as Ted in BBC family sitcom Life of Riley.

He has also been in several television commercials for companies such as Haribo and Start-rite Shoes. Patrick is still at school, is keen surfer and excels in Drama, Geography and Agriculture.

Patrick says: "WorldSkills 2011 is so important for young people like myself because I think skills such as carpentry and engineering are so important for our future. Apprenticeships are the way forward."
