HMS Brocklesby
The Royal Navy is delighted to bring one of her finest ships to WorldSkills London 2011. HMS BROCKLESBY is a Hunt Class Mine Countermeasures Vessel (MCMV) that has recently returned from a mission in Libya where she cleared the entrance to the port of Misrata, ensuring the safe delivery of humanitarian aid.
If you would like your school to “Have a Go” at a ship’s tour, you must register your interest at the Royal Navy stand located at EX93 on the day of your visit.
Tours will be conducted in groups of 10 - 12 students between 10 am and 3.30 pm each day, and will last approximately 30 minutes. During this time students will meet selected crew members who will talk about their roles in the Naval Service and their skills training.
Please note: the ship’s visit to WSL is subject to operational commitments and can be cancelled at short notice.
