The WorldSkills General Assembly Lucerne 2014 is organized by SwissSkills with the administrative support of Bucher Travel Inc. (organizers).

 

Registrations
The registrations to the WorldSkills General Assembly Lucerne 2014 are managed by Bucher Travel Inc., Lucerne via the official website www.ga2014luzern.ch.
Registrations will be accepted as long as the requested services are available. Registration will be considered as confirmed only after receiving the required deposit payment. With the confirmation, the participant has accepted the general conditions listed below, mainly those concerning the price, cancellation and payment conditions.

Currency and cashing
All mentioned rates are in Swiss Francs (CHF) including taxes and 8% VAT. Bucher Travel Inc. as the official partner of the WorldSkills General Assembly Lucerne 2014 is in charge of the cashing of all participation fees related to the mentioned event.

Payments
A deposit payment of 50% of the total amount is requested within 30 days after submitting a registration request via www.ga2014luzern.ch in order to confirm the registration. Payment of the outstanding amount is required by 31 May 2014. The organizers keep the right to cancel the registration in case the payment has not been received within the agreed terms.

The following methods of payment are accepted:
• Bank transfer
• Credit Card transactions (MasterCard, Visa or American Express)

Bank Transfers must be made in Swiss Francs (CHF) and on the basis of “no charges for the beneficiary”. Credit Cards are only charged in Swiss Francs (CHF).

Cancellations (by participant)
For cancellations until May 31, 2014, the already paid participation fee shall be reimbursed to the participant minus a CHF 200.00 administration fee. After this date, the following penalties will apply:

• Cancellations until 31 July 2014 – noon (CET):
  75% of the total amount will be charged
• Cancellations until 31 August 2014 – noon (CET):
  90% of the total amount will be charged
• Cancellations after 31 August 2014 – noon (CET):
  full amount will be charged – no reimbursement

Cancellations (by the organizers)
If the event cannot take place due to Force Majeure, safety concerns on the part of the organizers, official measures or restrictions, strikes or unsafe weather and outdoor conditions, the organizers are entitled to cancel the event at short notice.

Responsibility
The organizers accordingly accept no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, injury, accidents, delay, or any other irregularity howsoever arising. The organizers make every effort to ensure that all the arrangements and services will be carried out as specified in the most efficient and effective way possible. However, the organizers do not have direct control over the provision of services by suppliers and, whilst they are in all cases selected with the utmost care, the organizers do not accept liability for error and omissions of such suppliers.

Force Majeure
The organizers cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of contractual obligations is prevented or affected or the customer otherwise suffer any damage or loss, as a result of “force majeure”. In these Terms & Conditions, “force majeure” means any event, which the organizers or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity or actual threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside the control of the organizers.


Transfer of participants data
The packages (excluding ChampionsForum) include a participation in the International Congress on Vocational and Professional Education and Training in Winterthur/Switzerland. By accepting the terms & conditions you authorize Bucher Travel Inc. to forward your personal data (without credit card information) to the congress organizer (Location Promotion Winterthur Region).


Court of Jurisdiction
The Court of jurisdiction is Lucerne, Switzerland.
