Equipment Legacy Program

Deadline Extension:  May 22, 2009, 1700 MST

The Government of Alberta is a strong supporter of the 40th WorldSkills Competition.  Part of this support includes a grant to WorldSkills Calgary 2009 to purchase equipment.  As part of the legacy of WorldSkills Calgary 2009, the equipment will be distributed to eligible post-secondary institutions and K-12 school jurisdictions at the end of the Competition.

The allocation of this state-of-the-art equipment will increase the training capacity of schools and institutions and enhance training benefits for learners.

Eligible applications for the equipment allocation include publicly funded post-secondary institutions that provide apprenticeship technical training and school jurisdictions (public, Catholic, Francophone and charter) with high schools offering Career and Technology Studies (CTS) courses for students in Grades 10-12.
