THE DOME – HOST VENUE

The event venue for WorldSkills Africa 2022 Swakopmund is ‘The Dome’. With is distinctive white arched roof and striking towers, features a bold design that alludes to the town’s architectural past. The structure has become a visual icon which keeps surprising one from various vantage points around town, and while the size of the building dominates its surroundings, the venue itself has become the sports, lifestyle, events and business hub for the Namibian nation at the coast.

This multi-functional facility has 6 levels to serve the sport, business and leisure community. A range of retail stores and restaurants operate on the ground floor. The first floor is home to all the sports clubs, a co-working business hub and an entrepreneurs academy. The second floor houses a state-of-the-art healthand training centre, spa and an indoor swimming pool. The modern hotel boasts 34 suites that can accommodate up to 80 persons on level 3. The conference centre on levels 4 and 5 offers both local and international clients a holistic conferencing experience.
