Competitors' Village at SAIT Polytechnic
All international competitors will be housed at the Competitors' Village at SAIT Polytechnic to enhance their WorldSkills experience, and provide easy access to the competition venue. It offers a great opportunity for competitors to spend more time together and to enhance their international experience. The Competitors' Village at SAIT Polytechnic is a convenient 15-minute, free LRT train ride from the competition venue at Calgary Stampede Park.
The Competitors' Village will simultaneously provide sanctuary and excitement, camaraderie and privacy. Throughout the competition, it will be a true global village, reflecting and respecting cultures from around the world. Amenities include hotel and apartment-like accommodations, on-site medical services, high-speed Internet, recreational facilities and voice-over IP telephone. SAIT's Culinary department will ensure diverse dietary requirements and cultural preferences are accommodated. As well, prayer rooms are provided to respect the religious needs of participants.
