Manufacturing Team Challenge

The manufacturing team challenge employs several distinct skills such as mechanical engineering design and computer-aided machining for equipment assemblies.

The manufacturing team challenge involves designing and manufacturing equipment assemblies. The skills needed to complete this challenge at a WorldSkills competition include draft-level and computer design, welding, installing and assembling, automation and electronics. Individuals should be innovative, have team spirit and excel in multi-disciplinary skills.

The diverse spread of skills required by this competition reflects a real-life manufacturing and mechanical engineering environment. Teams must also produce comprehensive project documentation, reflecting real life scenarios as well.
