The Metalworking Sector will be, given its specificity, the sector with the strongest technological influence. Such a factor entails a higher technical complexity in the performance of one’s job. But also a stronger and better clarified capacity to make decisions regarding investments. In order to face the technological challenges one must be equipped to quickly transform the costs of new investments into productivity increases, being able to adapt the organisation of production units as well as to prepare human resources for the transformation of skills required by new technologies.
During this Seminar some of the technical strands regarding which the most strongly technological innovation and modernisation can be observed will be approached. CENFIM one of the Euroskills competition partners, wants to take advantage of this event by promoting the presentation / discussion of new technologies on the same venue and at the same time to do live presentations of the skills needed.
This Seminar will have 4 short panels, approaching the different areas and technological trends, aimed at bringing forward to participants some of the solutions and outlooks given by the supplier market.
The 4 themes to be approached have some similarities with some of the trades within the Manufacturing Technology and Engineering Cluster, present at Euroskills, therefore all participants are invited to see on-site some of the most relevant skills, being in contact with the technologies approached, namely in the field of:
- Welding;
- CNC Machining;
- Metrology and Dimensional Control;
- Industrial Automation
These themes will be approached by representatives of the technologies manufacturing market and Enterprises (users) of the metalwork and electromechanical sector. |
