Official shipping guidelines for freight forwarding &
customs clearance services

JOCISF has appointed SCHENKER-SEINO CO., LTD. as the official international freight forwarder and import customs broker for delivery of international shipments destined for the WorldSkills Competition, Shizuoka 2007.

■Brief Information

1. Arrival Deadline	Airfreight: Narita Airport - October 28, 2007 Sea freight: Tokyo Seaport - October 22, 2007
2. Documentation	ATA Carnet and the Power of Attorney (for temporary import) Invoice and packing list (for definitive import)
3. Advance Notice / Document Deadline	Air shipments: Prior to the aircraft’s arrival, the pre-advice must be sent to Schenker-Seino Co., Ltd. along with copies of MAWB/HAWB, ATA Carnet and the Power of Attorney or invoice/packing list and below information. Ocean shipments: Documents must be received 7 days prior to the vessel’s arrival.
4. Customs Regulation	a. Temporary customs entry will be arranged only with ATA Carnet. Any shipments without ATA Carnet is subject to import duty & tax. b. Please do not send below items without our acceptance in advance: Food, Beverage, animals/fish/plant, dangerous goods, valuables, chemicals, medicine, medical equipment and appliances, etc.. Some items require proper certificates or import licenses.

* Inbound charges the vessel/flight free arrival at Tokyo port/Narita airport up to delivered to the competition site in Numazu, must be paid by each sender/member.

* In order to avoid any inconveniences, we recommend that you transport all your shipments via SCHENKER. The local SCHENKER office in your country will contact you to discuss on all transport arrangements.
