FOR ACCREDITATION TO THE WORLDSKILLS COMPETITION AND BOOKING OF ACCOMMODATION


WSC2007 Registration of Official Participants

Member countries/regions can register the following official participants for accreditation to WorldSkills Competition 2007 (WSC2007):
(1) One 0fficial Delegate (OD)
(2) One Technical Delegate (TD)
(3) Up to two Official Observers (OO)
(4) One or two Team Leader(s) (TL)
(5) Competitors(C): one for each WSC skill category (exceptions: Manufacturing Team Challenge = 3, Mechatronics, Landscape Gardening, Mobile Robotics & Caring = 2)
(6) Experts(E): one for each WSC skill category
(7) Interpreters (I): one interpreter per WSC skill category
(8) Observers (O)


Booking of official accommodation packages

Official accommodation packages are to be booked using the system on the official web site of Japan Organizing Committee for the "International Skills Festival for All, Japan 2007" (JOCISF): www.skillsfestival2007.or.jp

Under contract with JOCISF, the Japan Travel Bureau (JTB) will provide services such as acceptance of bookings, responses, payment, etc. in cooperation with accommodation providers. The details and terms of the packages are in accordance with the terms provided by JOCISF. Any enquiries related to accommodation bookings are to be addressed solely to JTB (wsc2007@jtb.jp).

Since certain hotels have a limited number of guest rooms, it is advised to make reservations as early as possible. In cases where preferred hotels are not available, alternate hotels of the 2nd or 3rd preference will be booked. If these hotels are also unavailable, alternate hotels with similar conditions will be booked automatically.
-Member countries/regions shall make a reservation for the packages using the system on JOCISF official web site (www.skillsfestival2007.or.jp).
-Unless it is unavoidable, any reservations not using the system on the JOCISF website will not be accepted.

Once a reservation is complete, Member countries/regions shall pay JTB the full price for the accommodation packages. Member countries/regions shall pay the price for the packages according to the terms. For any services not included in the accommodation packages (such as: dinners, room services, telephone, laundry, etc.) that would be ordered in the accommodation facilities, the Member countries/regions will be responsible for the payments.

Reservations may be cancelled in accordance with the following terms:

Prices and payment conditions

Please refer to separate document for the package prices. JTB will issue invoices on the dates specified below.

Member countries/regions shall pay for the packages as follows.

・Competitors (C), Team Leaders (TL), Experts (E), Interpreters (I) and Technical Delegates (TD)

*Please note: In case of requests for reservations on August 14, 2007 or later, the full amount shall be paid within 2 weeks of receiving the invoice.

The payments can be done solely through bank transfer to the bank account specified on the invoice. JTB and JOCISF are not liable for any costs due to bank transfer. All costs charged by banks due to transfer of payments shall be covered solely the respective Member countries/regions. Any deduction by a bank from the total amount of the invoice shall be regarded as not paid by the Member countries/regions and may lead to expiration of the reservation as set forth below.


Changes and cancellations

If a reservation is cancelled on April 1, 2007 July 1, 2007 or later, there will be cancellation charge equivalent to 25% of the prices of the package JPY50,000/person.

If the deposits or final payment for the packages are not paid by the due dates indicated above, the reservations that have not been paid for shall be cancelled automatically. In cases where reservations include more than one package category, the packages in the most expensive category are cancelled first. For example: if a Member pays the 25% JPY50,000/person deposit by the due date but is late in paying the final payment, the least expensive packages will be confirmed up to the value of the 25% total deposit that has been received and the rest of the packages in the reservation will be cancelled automatically.

JTB will accept requests for changes or additions even on April 1, 2007 July 1, 2007 or later. Names of participants may be changed.

Under no circumstance will the deposits be refunded. All deposits are completely non-refundable.


Other Information

- The terms in the English language shall prevail (in case where there are discrepancies among the different language versions).
- These terms and reservations shall be governed by the relevant Japanese laws.
- Any disputes, controversies, claims, breach of agreements and validity of contracts shall be settled by district court of Japan.
